When are nutrients released into the soil?

nutrients can be released into the soil from the decaying of organic matter (dead animals, trees....)

there would be many other ways but that is the first that comes to mind

Nutrients reach usually in 4 ways:

1) decay of organic materials

2) artificial fertilization

3) weathering of rocks

4) nutrient transport by wind and rain
