Why are people offended SO easily. Of course everyone has a right to an opinion and these opinions may be of contradictory. But I NEVER report anyone just because I do not agree with what they are saying.

When are people going to be tolerant on yahoo answers and respect people opinions, because EVERYONE has the RIGHT to have an opinion, needless to say I do not agree with everything I see on yahoo answers but I never report anyone just try to express my opinion in a diplomatic way??

  1. Oh for goodness sakes.  Its Y!A.  Who really cares?  You're making a huge deal out of nothing.  The world is full of intolerant people, so why would you expect Y!A to be any different?  There are much more important things going on in the world.  Why waste your time whining about getting your answers deleted on a silly public forum?  People can report me if they want to.  It doesn't hurt my feelings because I am not one of those "easily offended people" that you are speaking of.  Unfortunately, it looks like you are one of those people!  Grow up and get over it.  If getting your answers deleted bothers you THAT much, then perhaps you need to find a different activity to do on the computer.

  2. sorry but i cant help but to report when i see someone tell a 15yr old pregnant girl

" stupid w***e you should have kept you legs closed"

i will never become tolerant of such.

RE: i have had my answers reported several times, especially when i give my opinion on controversial subjects like abortion or euthanasia or otehr politicall controversial subjects. They can find any little excuse to report your question, how bogus.

  3. I don't know...because I don't report people for disagreeing with them either. If i'm very passioniate about something, or if someone is just being a dumba**, I'll give them a thumbs down occasionally. I don't know why someone would report someone for simply disagreeing with their opinion.

  4. I actually got reported the other day because some girl asked a question that was so long she had to add details 3 times to make it all fit.  Also, this was an extension to a previous question she said we HAD to read or it wouldn't make sense.  The link didn't work so I wrote "I had a hard time to undertand your question because your link doesn't work, if you could write it shorter I'd be happy to answer for you".  So she reported me because I didn't answer her question.  Whatever, some poeple just want everything their way and don't realize that their are probably millions of people on here and they are going to get answers they don't 100% agree with.

I've only ever reported 1 person and it was because they were posting sexual questions in the gradeschooler section with a name with the word c**ksuc***r  in it.

  5. So.... did someone report you and now your feelings are hurt over it?

  6. You get reported for not asking questions on topic.  So asking "Why?" is not really relevant to the Parenting topic, is it?  As for your original answer, I didn't read it but I imagine any answer to a question like that might seem inflammatory to some, therefore I would suggest you stay away from sensitive topics online, just as you would IRL.
