E: Pavlov’s kitty? Of course, didn’t I promise?

L: Can I read the poem this time?

V: No, I wanna read it!

E: You’ll read it too. We’ll read it two times.

V: Okay, but hurry up, Louise.

L: “In the early years at

University of Saint Petersburg….”

V: Hold on, Louise! Elaine, is Pavlov a real person?

E: Well he was. What he did was….

E: For what?

L: For teaching me something.

I haven’t learned anything new in a long time.

  1. Awsome :D

  2. I got my masters after 50.  That was sixteen years ago.  I'm still learning new things every day.

  3. "i still have not learned everything" or words to that effect, by Michaelangelo, on his death bed.

I personally feel when you no longer learn, you start the dying process.

And I love the elderly, most still thirst for learning and for experience.

Go adopt a new set of Grandparents or parents if you haven't any.  Discover the treasures!

  4. the real life poetic moment...lol

i like how Louise cut you off too.

not a moment to lose to thank you

for what you do, whats so important.

  5. There is an old saying that you can't teach an old dog new tricks.  Well, it isn't because they can't LEARN, it's just they don't have the Umph anymore !  Smile...

Really, we are NEVER too old to learn IF we remain teachable...

  6. I enjoyed a bunch with this little skit. The wandering minds taking care of little passing thoughts as they pop into the mind while forgetting the main goal. But it shows that passing thoughts are the important thing at hand. Continued learning is like the burst of light with each new dawn.

Then, of course, everyone must have been able to see your new avatar. I'm only guessing because no ones avatar is showing presently.

Additional details gave me much laughter. All details just go hand and hand to make the skit a beautiful writing. Thanks.

  7. As a future geriatric, I can vouch for this piece. Tomorrow, I'm reading them Lincoln's letter to Mrs. Bixby, and a few others from Honest Abe.

  8. One of my little tidbits of life has always been, "Any day I don't learn something is a day wasted".

Boy, have I wasted a bunch.

Edit: Love the new look, did you go to the beauty parlor?

  9. Thanks for the laugh! I needed that.

Several of my senior ladies are just like that!

    Gotta love 'em!

  10. Actually I've been working on answering both....

on the writing: It was entertaining, a good read

on the question: only in a coma

Hold on a sec... need to address Yahoo.

Oh and Yahoo take this ????,,,......,,,;;;;:::::'''""""'''~`~`!

Too much punctuation my butt.... sorry

on your avator: you are obviously not only intelligent but pleasant on the eyes as well...  lovely!

-note: so tell me what was the percentage that still answered only the question and made no comment on the poem? (hehe)

  11. Good job Elaine, you made me laugh! I just love your little dramatic pieces. Dramatic, but not "dramatique"...

  12. I would say the willingness decreases as people age until you die
