When are the 08/09 Volkl skis available for purchase?

Question

I'm either looking for the 2009 Volkl Gotama, or the Katana. I'm about 5'10" and 185 lbs, so any help with size would be helpful too. Thanks in advance.

Some select shops are actually recieving their 2009 Volkl skis. The Gotama and Katana are two totally different skis and it ultimately comes down to if you want one ski or two. The Katana is what I would consider a specialty powder ski although it could be skied everyday it just is not as entertaining on trail as something narrower. The Gotama on the other hand is still a pretty wide ski in all respect but because of it design and performance it is a much more entertaining ski on trail.

In the long run it really comes down to if you have other skis to ski or not. Check out this two links the shop that I work for already has a lot of it 2009 Volkl Skis and the prices are already at MAP price so you are getting a bit of a discount.
