When are the people at Freo ever going to wake up?

If Harvey wants to be a career coach now is the time to bite the bullet and make a stand. Get rid of the players that couldnt stand up at other clubs and say I am playing for the future. Gone should be Tarrant, Solomn, Johnstone, Farmer and Carr. A collection like this cant be good for any club.

I am beginning to wonder if those players on the Western Front, Freo and Eagles, are maybe too much hero worshipped as Perth is an avid Football town and I am thinking the discipline is a bit loose.  I saw Harvey interviewed on On the Couch last night and I felt sorry for him and he admitted he is still on a learning curve as Coach of Freo and I thought the likes of Gerard Healey and Robert Walls and whatsisname were awfully tough on Mark along the lines of all the Essendon influence he brought to Freo with the likes of Johnstone and Solomon to the point of embarrassment.  Evidently they have the oldest average players in the AFL and yes need to get rid of quite a few.  Robert Walls pointed out that Kerr has cost them premiership points with reports etc. and what are they doing about this lack of discipline in such a good player.  They need to clean up their act and try some rookies and look to the future.  And that interview also called into question their overall fitness to see a whole game out.

But they've played almost the exact same style of footy the entire time they've been in the competition!  And how many coaches and players have they been through?  And this might sound like a dumb thing to say,  but personally I think until they get rid of that friggin' anchor from around their necks,  nothing's gonna change.  I mean the whole purpose of an anchor is to hold something down and stop it from moving!  Need I say more!!?

I think that Freos biggest problem is inconsistancy! I agree that taking players who have passed the peak of their careers is a bad idea; we only have to look at Careys move to the Crows and Modras move to Freo to see that, but there are more factors than to consider than blaming the coach for the players bad performance.

Was the game home or away, how well do they travel? A few hours on a plane is harrowing for any footballer.

How is club morale? How did losing precious time against Geelong affect the players? Do they feel like it doesn't matter what they do, they can't win?

Yeah i thought it was a bad move when they got Mark Johnson and Kepler Bradley from the Bombers, oldest list in the AFL, and players like Tarrant, Farmer and Carr just miss fire to much, i think Harvey should have a long hard look at the list at the end of the year, because i dont see them going to the finals, when at the start of the year they were talking flags, thats way off

I agree strongly with your above... but i disagree with some of the players you have wrote down... i beleive that farmer can still kick goals for dockers and is still a quality forward... also i think that dean solomon is an outstanding midfielder and is also good up back for the dockers... even though i am an eagles supporter i think that dockers have alot of tallent... but some players are a waste of time... such as kepler bradley, johnson, matthew carr, and i wo9uld keep tarrant i lil longewr to see if he camn improve...

They will wake up when they get rid of all their imports.

By imports I mean their CEO, their swag of ex-Essendon assistant coaches, their ex- Essendon player manager, their ex-Essendon coach.....then startyon all their ex-Essendon players.

What is the matter with them - are they obsessessed with Essendon. Why? Essendon are just about in the same boat as them on the ladder.

They showed how intelligent they were when they selected purple as their main colour....then they added red, white & green to appease their Italian fishermen supporters....what about the Portugese fishermen - I bet they're peed off.

Yeah I think thats a good idea.. except swap Farmer for Mcmanus.. You need some magic left there to inspire the young recruits..

And get them training together as a team and more drills and cardio training!

yea, that team is down with the dogs (not western bulldogs obviously). they need to pick up their game if they want to achieve anything this year. Go Dees! oh yea, Go Pies!
