  1. You've pretty much missed them.

In the summer it is normally six weeks from July to early September so if you are not planning to come for say the next three weeks then all the kids should be back at school.

  2. School holidays vary from school 2 school. Your best bet is to find the school that you are interested in and look on their website. Or look on the councils website. I work in a school and my holidays are different to my friend who works in a different borough to me.

  3. it varies, but they tend to be around the middle-late of October, you should be ok if you leave before the 10th

  4. As others have said it varies, but usually third week in October until near Christmas is a safe bet I would estimate.

Ah for a quiet get away. One idea is to check with an agent and discover the off season discounts available in the locale you are considerng, That might avoid the worst of the crowds.

    Cheers!

  5. I can tell you the exact dates as I work as a nurse in an Independent School term times only. Its from Fri 17th Oct till Sun 26th Oct.  The State schools are from Mon 27th till Fri 31st. Having said that, this is in Harrow, Middlesex, UK.  I am pretty sure the rest of the country would generally be the same.

    Hope that helps.
