  1. Ike was so violent a criminal he makes Mike Tyson look like a boy scout.  Ike's victim took a pretty savage beating, and if I am not mistaken, Ike had a pretty savage history.  He got 30 years for a reason, it wasn't pretty what Ike did.  The parole board is in place for a reason, and Ike had a serious history of degenerate behavior, long before he started raping and beating hookers, he kidnapped a 15 year old boy in Texas, and did 120 days in the slammer for that demented fiasco.

Yeah, Ike was a great heavyweight, and would most likely smoke all of today's heavyweight pretenders, but lets get real, the guy makes Mike Tyson's antics look tame by comparison, Ike is a menace and got 30 years because he deserved it.  I don't expect to see him on the street until he does at least 10 of the 30.   Sig Rogich might have some connections with the Bush administration, but even the political pull of a former U.S. ambassador couldn't spring Ike, he is simply too dangerously unstable.

As a boxer Ike was a h**l of a contender, as a human being he is exactly where he belongs, behind bars.

  2. I Would Give Him Some Time.  Blog gets to be in society abusing everyone But Ike is in jail ---something isn't fair.

  3. They both went to prison for rape, but the circumstances surrounding each case were extremely different.  I mean, to this day, some people still debate if Tyson even committed the rape.  With Ike, he raped an exotic dancer and barricaded himself in the bathroom until the police used tear gas to get him out.  Prior to that he kidnapped the son of his former girlfriend and permanently injured and almost killed the boy in a car crash.  He was denied parole twice in the past five years and its not hard to imagine why after the terrible things he did.  If he does get out due to a future parole, then I don't see him going anywhere in boxing again, and its rumored that he gained a whole bunch of weight in prison.  Of course he could try like Tony Ayala did, but the end-result would probably be the same.  Meaning that the comeback would not work because he is much older now, has not fought professionally in years, and there's no doubt that he's not going to be the same fighter that beat David Tua and knocked out Chris Byrd.

  4. Mike Tyson his just a brutal boxer... i wouldn't want to stay too near to him... you turn your head whoa... Mike Tysons fist coming at ya
