actually, i don't think it's possible, because matter cannot travel faster than the speed of light, so there is no way to transport people instantaneously.

there is, however, the idea that a person's atoms could be taken apart in one place, then reassembled somewhere else, but then your body would be made of different atoms. it would be kinda like destroying you where you are and constructing a clone at your destination. not sure if u would want to do that
