When are you considered a true boarder?

I love snowboarding and i was just wondering?

I think I am, although I don't do all the jumps and tricks. But I'm out there 50-60 days a season, and wish it could be more. During snowboard season pretty much everything else is on hold. I'm snowboarding every day/night available with my schedule. I love snowboarding. Obsessed might be a more accurate description.

To me, if you're up there with a board in your hands and you're giving it a try you're a snowboarder. It can take a while to get the hang of it, but that doesn't mean you're not a "true" snowboarder at that point. You're up there taking the falls and getting the bruises so you get lots of credit in my book. I remember what is was like to learn.

I consider you a true shred when you absolutely love the sport

and you cant live a day without it.  You also don't see yourself as the best and you don't put down other shreds for not being as good as you or if someone does a trick that you cant do, you support them and say "dude, that was awesome" or "Man! I'd never be able to land that smooth". You also give respect to those who bail, attempting to do a trick that they have never done before.

When I see a person at the hill with a snowboard in their hands, if I don't know their name I'll say "hello snowboarder."  I do this even if (actually especially when) they are standing at the beginner sign in from of the snow school!  If you have the heart to try snowboarding, for that time at least you are a snowboarder!

You are a "true boarder" when you understand that it is the most enjoyable way to appreciate the beauty of God's nature and when you stop hating skiers because they refuse to evolve to a better sport.

its probably when u look forward to winter and use summer as a time to think about new things to try out, and u see skateboarding as something to do to keep u in flow until winter comes around again. and if u cant understand why no one u know is as passionate about it as u are
