when are you most fertile? i just lost a baby and we are trying for another one.

Here's a sure fire trick to use if you are not sure of when you ovulate! Worked for MOST of the ladies in my family!

The first day you start your period (1st day of bleeding, no matter the time or flow) is DAY 1, count forward from there.

On days 11-18, have intercourse every other day (Ex: days 11, 13, 15, and 17 or days 12, 14, 16, and 18)

Try evens or odds for a couple of months and then switch after 2-3 months if it doesnt work.  

Because timing is key in getting pregnant, getting insync with your ovulation cycle has to happen.  If you aren't catching the egg on the evens or odds, switch to the opposite the next time.  Many women in my family have gotten pregnant by switching intercourse days!! Good luck...

You're at your most fertile during the five days leading up to and the 12 hours following ovulation.

The average cycle is 28 days long and the average ovulation isaround day 14-16 of your cycle. Your cycle begins on the 1st day of your period. So if you started your period on the 1st and your cycle was "average" you can ovulate around the 14-16th and you are most fertile the day of ovulation. If you check your cervix your mucous will be stretchy and look like egg whites. It should stretch about an inch between your fingers before it breaks. That's the time to make a baby!
