When are you supposed to have a bachelorette party?

How many months before the wedding are you supposed to have a bacherlorette party? Or does it matter? What's typical? Any tips for the new maid of honor?

The bachelor and bachelorette party takes place the night before the wedding. Or if you want, you can have it when ever you want.

Traditionally the night before the wedding, but if you plan on doing anything naughty you might want it at least two nights before to disinfect yourself from the hooker spit.
