When are you told if you're valedictorian?

I can't find anything that says what year you find out. Is it junior or senior year?

you find out like 3rd quarter of senior year

It depends on your school and how they do GPA. My high school tells you after first semester of your senior year because GPA is done by semesters. If your school does GPA quarterly, then they would more than likely tell you after third quarter of your senior year. Class rank can usually be found any time though, just go to your counselor and ask.
