When asked "why do you want to work for <Insert company name here>, what's usually the best answer?

The companies that I'm talking about specifically are retail stores such as American Eagle, Gap, etc. I rarely know what to say. What can I say so that I will stand out from the crowd?

Tell them you think that they are hot.

The TRUTH.  Why do YOU want to work for Company X.  Standing out from the crowd is NOT your goal.  Sounding like you actually mean what your say is.
