When at the doctor for a regular check up, can they dectect marijuana in a standard urine test (non drug test)

Im talking about when one goes for a regular physical at the doctor and they ask you to urinate in a cup. I think its to test for diabetes, or something, but it's definitely not testing for drug use. Even though that's so, is it possible for them to detect marijuana anyway?

you would have to consent for a substance test, standard test don't detect mj and even if they did detect it they could not release the findings without your consent

does it matter? if ur a teen i can see why it matters but if ur an adult, it doesnt matter because if they tell ur job or any 1 else you can sue theyre a**es for violating doctor patient confidentiality

Every doctor chooses the tests he uses from a medical sales rep. So, it depends on what the rep sells him. Usually you have to pay more for any drug test.. but, some doctors just test for everything regardless. It all depends on your doctor.

If they are not testing for it, they wont see it.

However, your doctor needs to know if you are using.  It can interfer with some medications, and it can cause some symptoms.  Your doctor needs to know that you use.  Always be honest with your doctor!

they can detect it . it happend to me once and i had a cop watchen me cause i was on probation at the time and they said that the cops, my PO, or the judge will find out. since its a hospital they cant give out information without your permission.
