The question wasnt serious.

I was trying to point out the ridiculousness of the other question .

Where is the same condemnation of this kind of logic when its applied to the other side??????

  1. Sort of.  I'm hoping that you'll give me proof that Odin exists. :)  Secretly, deep down, don't we all want to go to Val Halla?

  2. No. When we asked for evidence, we are just being mentally healthy by doubting

  3. Do people who ask questions about disproving god really dis-believe and just want to confirm it?

  4. No, we just want to see if you can come up with ANY proof.  Which, of course, you can't.

  5. Well I think you're mean. Why dis athiests just coz we believe different? I don't do that to you. I just don't believe in anyting. Like not even evloution. I believe in one day we'll find credible proof of how it was made, then all this fighting will stop.

  6. As an agnostic I can tell you honestly that they do not secretly want to be shown proof of God. They are simply justifying their belief by pointing out that there is no real proof of God or religion, thus proving you wrong, in their eyes.

  7. I don't ask for proof unless you make the claim god exists.

  8. All the proof in the world wouldn't make a difference. If God existed, in their minds, they would have to change and who wants to do that. People that demand proof for everything are just trying to justify the way they live. It is such a juvenile and ridiculous statement to say where is the proof. If they actually took the time to sincerely find out for themselves they might be surprised. People who want proof of everything are only looking for the answers that support their theories. Of course this idea can work both ways.

  9. nope

  10. Personally no, though I can't speak for all atheists lol....

  11. Perhaps.

Probably no more than Christians asking for proof of the non-existence of God are disguising their own doubts about their faith and are looking for an opening to discuss it.

    Existence is a double-edged sword.

  12. Atheists are indirectly making fun of you for believing in fictitious super heroes when they ask you for proof of god.  Once you become an atheist, you realize the bs religious people spew from their mouth in order to brainwash you into believing their side so they don't feel as silly.

  13. " So long as the universe had a beginning, we could suppose it had a creator. But if the universe is really completely self-contained, having no boundary or edge, it would have neither beginning nor end: it would simply be. What place, then, for a creator? "

                                                                        - STEPHEN HAWKING

  14. Those atheists who do this kind of thing (because I know that there are atheists who don't) are just mean and like to laugh at us. They like to feel better about themselves by making us look foolish.

I personally feel that they will eventually eat crow.... but then as a believer, I'm biased.

1 Cor 1:25- Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

  15. nononono.......we just want proof of his/her existence..nothing more.

  16. what? hear what you want and believe what you want to hear. forget everything else.

  17. some (maybe a few select few): yes

    mostly: no

It's the "I want to actually have faith" part that they don't want do. Of course if you could PROVE God then faith would be completely removed, it's there for a deeper meaning. But that's OK, man will always do what he(she) wants to do. We've only got 1 shot at life though, and if Christians are right then they spend an eternity in a 'good' place while inconveniencing themselves somewhat in this short life. While atheists spend eternity in a 'bad' place while they live conveniencely in this short life. Not sure if I'd take that gamble though.

  18. when christians ask questions like this are they really that closed minded to onther peoples beliefs  or are they trying to find a way to explore other options than what they have been bred to believe?

    WOOHOO PEDRO. awesome quote.

  19. God only knows.

God cannot lie. It is impossible for God to lie. Hebrews 6vs 18.

Only God can weighs the heart of a person.

God can be trusted. Save your soul and turn to God today. Life is way too short to ignore the Truth.

God will judge all humanity justly according to what each person has done, good or bad and reward them accordingly.

  20. when ppl say tht christians are close minded, or not tht bright, or tht we live in fantasy land.....who is saying this? have we actually stumbled upon the wisest ppl tht ever lived tht are answering on y/a?

  21. no...maybe they're trying to make others question why they (the others) believe in God in the first place

no proof = no reason to believe

  22. If you see, then you HAVE to believe. And they don't want to believe. So it's a good thing that they can't see. . .for now.

  23. There is no point to ask for something that can not be provided.

I don't need to ask for proof of God - I've got Kirk Cameron providing it, and it makes as much sense as any other proof.

  24. This seems to be a fairly common theme amongst Christians.  That we atheists are somehow secret believers looking for answers.  I can assure you, that is not the case.  Think outside of your little close minded box sometime.  There are those who do think for themselves in this world.

  25. "secretly believe that he does exist"

For some reason I thought you were smarter than that.

Kid, there are NO invisible sky critters swooping about in the sky doing haphazard mayhem on all and sundry for no reason.

Stuff just happens whether you're 'good' or 'bad'.

Good people die in car accidents; good people give birth to mentally and physically challenged babies; good people get all sortsa cancers; all sortsa stuff happens to 'good' people.

IF, perchance, one day bad things happened ONLY to 'bad' people I may sit up and re-evaluate; until then I'll keep on saying: the whole invisible-sky-critter scam is childish nonsense not too dissimilar to bogeymen under the bed; it was invented as a management tool to scare and or control peasants and small children.

  26. pssst... no...

  27. i guess so. they just don't know where to start. if God doesn't exist, we should be able to control everything in our life.
