My baby has running nose and coughing after I brough him to day care when I am working there. I got running nose and cough too. But the baby doctor said he is alright and just gave him non-medicated nose spray for it. Even I took cold pills I still do not feel good.

  1. Give it a couple days to see if you both improve, if not, or if symptoms get worse, then I would go to the doctor.

Day Care's, Schools etc. carry a lot of germs because of the amount of kids (kids aren't the cleanest of all people).  It might take time to build up a higher immunity.

When I first started working in the school system, I was sick all the time.  It also has to do with the fact that so many parents send their children off to school and day care when they are sick, which in turn gets others sick.

  2. Use a nasal bulb syringe to gently unplug the mucous from the baby's nose. Also Vicks BabyRub might help and also plugging in a Vicks vapourizer will help him breathe. I also raise the mattress in the crib up a bit. When I elevate the mattress it helps my baby sleep when she's stuffed up as she's not lying totally flat and it helps her nasal passages drain better.
