When baseball owners try to lower the players wages it is called collusion?

witch is unlawful but when auto companies lower wages that is not the same why not?

  1. Auto Company are represented by unions.  These unions freely negotate with the Corporations.  There is no collusion.


  2. There is no collusion. Baseball team owners deal with the Major League Baseball Players Association. The MLBPA is the collective bargaining representative for all current Major League Baseball players. The association also assists players with grievances and salary arbitration.

    As in any negotiation between labor and management. The owners want to reduce expenses and the workers want higher wages.
