When bodyboarding, how should I position myself on the board when riding a wave?

  2. It depends what you are trying to accomplish. If you are trying to speed up, you move forward on the board. If you are slowing down you move back. When turning, you'd usually grab the side of the board in the rail, in the direction you are turning, and dig that elbow into the rail and pull the nose with your opposite hand. i.e. if you are turning left, your left arm would be resting above the rail with your left hand gripping the rail. Push your left elbow down so the rail can grab the water. Then with your right hand grasping the nose of the board, pull towards you and slightly into the direction you would like to turn.
