  1. They go on the ankle or wrist closest to the back of the board. If you ride normal, then your right side, if you ride goofy foot, then attatch to your left side.

  2. Most people attach it to their right foot. My friend does, anyway, and she's been surfind for six years now. She's right handed, I wonder if that has something to do with it?

  3. Your back foot! my left!!!!

  4. When bodyboarding, the leash goes on your wrist. I put it on my left wrist because my right arm is stronger for paddling.

  5. Bodyboarders almost never use an ankle leash.  There are wrist leashes and bicep leashes.  Basically, bicep leashes tend to stay out of the way better, and seem to work better while riding dropknee.

Depending on which arm you have on the nose of the bodyboard determines which arm you put the leash on.  If your right arm is forward holding the nose, and the left is back holding the rail, put the leash on your left arm.  If right arm is back, then put the leash on your right arm.

You never want to ride with both arms/ hands on the sides (rails) or both arms/hands on the nose.
