  1. Yes they are included.  And going to Alaska you will also be charge a $50.00 per person tourist fee.

  2. Yes port fees are included. You will set up an on board account where you will be issued a card like a credit card which you will use as room key, for purschases on the ship as well as ID for leaving & reboarding the ship. From this account they will deducked usually $10.00 aday for tips. While in Ketchikan go Salmon Mall at end of pier-great shops & prices. Buy souvenirs in port not on ship & save alot.

At airport you need to pay attention as all cruise lines meet in one area so when buses come in it gets alittle crazy. Someone from the cruise line will meet you at airport to take your luggage and show where to go.

    Enjoy.

  3. I think you will find your taxes and gratuitties are included in the cost

  4. yes, the port fees are included in your package price. alaska does charge a tourist fee though. i think it is $50. check out http://www.travelcuse.com for great deals on cruises. good luck!

  5. yes they are

  6. The price quoted on the cruise line web sites includes all port fees and taxes.

Gratuities are also included but are an option you can remove on some sites if you wish to tip personally.

A travel agent's quote should have all fees and taxes included as well but ask when enquiring.  Some cruise web sites which look like a bargain add the taxes on the final page, so watch out for this.

    Example: http://cruisediscount1.com/_wsn/page3.ht...

All the cruise lines are adding a fuel supplement of about $5 per day per passenger from Jan 2008 so this could be an extra addition to your final quote.

  7. Good question.  For online sites I have found it is best to actually try and book the cruise (don't put in your credit card number).  That is how you will find the true price.

For example, recently I was looking for a cruise and found two prices, $869 and $958.  I told my travel agent and he was quoted a price of $1008.  After doing a little more research I found that the $958 did not include $50 in taxes.  The $869 fare was updated when I pretended to try and book, and the price I would have been charged was $1023.

When dealing with a travel agent (I have used the same one for several bookings and I know him to be honest) make sure to ask for the total cost including port fees, taxes and surcharges (the cruise lines are currently charging a fuel surcharge).

If you want to purchase your air through the cruise line (which I don't recommend) then make sure that is included.  Some cruise lines allow you to prepay your tips.  Otherwise tips are typically $10 per person per day.

Shore excursions, photographs, spa treatments, alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, special coffees, photographs, souvenirs and any gambling in the casino are extra.  These items will be billed to your on board account.
