I'm asking this because I cant afford to spend 50$ on an adiobook but its the only way I can read. When I read I need full of concentration and the only way I get that is from the adiobook. When would I be able to rent a book that comes out in early october on adiobook? Thanks!

  1. For regular books, they usually hit the library's shelves as soon as they're released. But for audio books you should call your local branch as they may come out later than the text version.

  2. It depends on who is in charge in your local library. You can put in requests to the librarian. They won't necessarily order it at all otherwise. Listening to an audiobook is not the same as reading, but I understand why you want one. Sometimes it is easier but the voice of the person speaking means you lose out on a lot of the imagining

  3. In about a week or two

  4. They reach it a few days before if not the day of when the books/movies/audiobook came out. I should know, I work at one! Also, if you want to get youre book early go to the library now and ask to reserve the book, that way when it comes out they save it for you and you get it first!!!

  5. It depends on the library but usually books that are chosen are pre-ordered and batched into the system within two weeks of their release date.

  6. its usally a year later if its a good libary. County council libarys are un reliyable though

  7. Libraries tend to order popular titles so they receive them at the same time as book stores.  As for audiobooks, I guess it depends on when the release of the audiobook is and if there is a large enough demand that the library would carry the title.  You can call your library and ask them when they will get the title in.

  8. it depends on the library - check out the library website or speak to the librarian =)

  9. Audiobooks often take longer to hit libraries or stores than the print book, but since libraries are often consulted first in the distribution cycle, call your local haunt and ask them when they're receiving their copy.
