  1. Bunga pads...and also makeup sponges too...that's what I usually use because there not as expensive.

Good luck with the new boots!

  2. try double sockers, if you have more room in there. dont lace them up as tight/as much, and wear them around the house. and don't try any tricks or anything for the first few times you have them on. one time i wore new skates (by accident, when i used to do rentals), and i didn't know the thing, i skated for 2 hours and the skin on the back of my heel peeled off and my sock got red (sorry, trying to keep this as less gory as possible!).

  3. bunga pads are fantastic for the cushion but also buy some round make up sponges and put them in the places where they rub this helps a huge deal when the boots have eased off you will no longer require them.

also when ever you get new boots keep the first (bottom) hook un laced and always do up to the top hook as this is support for the ankles other wise you will be doing some damage to them.

  4. wear ankle sleeves and bunga pads anywhere you usually get blisters and on the ankles.  For the first few weeks, dont lace them up all the way, only to about the 2nd or 3rd hook.  After you skate you can also stick a golf ball in the toe to keep that area pushed out.
