  1. A lot of the materials are recycled.  Lumber, steel, glass, sheetrock and other materials can be either reused in other projects are recycled into new construction materials.  The remainder goes to the landfill.


  2. It depends on the area. Most places the stuff gets hauled to a landfill. In some areas, they are starting to think more green, so they recycle more.
