When buying a snowboard, is there anything specific to consider?

are they like made to measure? or is it more like one size fits all if you know what i mean.

  1. Your  riding style, height, weight, gender, shoe size, etc.

    For a beginner, I would suggest an all purpose board - either a "freeride" board or an "all mountain" board with some setback (like a twin tip board with 3/4" setback). These will be easier to learn on than a true freestyle / park board or a "jib" board which are specialized for park / pipe tricks.

  2. Yeah there are five things to take into account when buying a board

    1. your weight

    2. your height

    3. your foot size

    4. The level of riding your at ie beginner, intermediate,  advanced

    5. The type of riding you want to do freestyle, freeriding, powder, or a bit of everything.
