  1. always. gas guzzlers= 75% discount

  2. You can almost always chip a bit off the price.  The amount depends on the dealer; If the dealership deals primarily in new cars, the used car is probably a trade-in, and if its not a late model, the dealership will just want to unload it rather than waste time and a parking spot on it.  I once bought a car, sticker price of $1800, for $250 including title and tax.  The catch was that apparently the dealer didn't realize that it had a serious gas leak!  They couldn't wait to get that one off the lot!  Obviously that's an unusual situation, but if they had been serious about the car they would have replaced the bad part (fuel sending line) and sold the car for a decent price.  They didnt, so they unloaded it to me rather than mess with it!

  3. yes you can

  4. Yes.  There is a price margin in which they got the car and the selling price for the customer.  You should at least try to haggle on the price.  I even had a set of nice floor mats thrown into the deal.  Hey, anything helps, don't be afraid to ask.  They are the ones who need your money.  You can always go elsewhere, if they want to sell you that car bad enough, they'll find a way to make it affordable for you/  Good Luck

  5. yes you can but you hae to talk and talk. you have to know what you are talking about and make it known to them and that is all.

  6. Sure......

  7. Usually there is ALWAYS bargaining room built into the asking price of a used car.  The only contradiction to that general rule might be one of the used car operations (most noticeably CarMax) where the price on the car is the price you pay.

  8. You can negotiate with any car dealer.  The best way to get them to lower the price, is to come late at night aorund 8:00 pm.  They will be tired and will be more willing to deal.  If you don't like the price they offer, say "thats no good" i'm going to go to another dealer and keep looking around.  They will say wait a minute and lower the price. Keep saying, that you are going to look around, until they meet your price.

  9. Almost every single time.  They list them higher knowing that you will talk them down and then buy it thinking you got a deal.  If you don't talk them down then they just made more money off the sucker.  You have to deal with them

  10. YOU BET I WORKED A DEALERSHIP FOR 7 YEARS  AND THEY PACK THE CARS AND ALL HAVE MARK UP  PLAY IT TIGHT  DONT GET TO THE POINT WHERE YOU WANT THE CAR TO THE POINT  YOU DONT WANT TO LEAVE IT SIT  THEY BUY IT BACK OF BOOK AND FOR MILAGE TAKE 025 OFF FOR EVERY MILE TRAVELED  THEN IF IT S 5 YEARS OLD AND YOUKNOW WHAT IT SOLD FOR CUT THE RETAIL IN !/2   TIRE WEAR DOWN TO 1/2 THEN 1/2 OF THE COST OF THEM  P.S. WHOLE SALE ON TIRES ARE 1/2 OF RETAIL  FOR DENTS MINOR  OR SCRATCHS TAKE BACK BY SIZE AND REPAIR COST  HAVE A WET DRY CHECK DONE ON ENG BEFORE YOU BUY    COST A COUPLE OF BUCKS BUT IT TELLS YOU CONTION OF RINGS AND VALVES AND WHERE THEY ARE WEAK  HAVE A DIFF MECH CHECK IT OUT NOT THE DEALER THAT YOU WANT TO BUY IT FROM    TAKE TO TRANS SHOP AND CHECK PRESSURE ON AUTO TRANS AS PUMP WILL GO WEAK FIRST   THEN AND ONLY THEN OFFER LESS THAN THE 1500 TO 3000 THAT THEY HAVE MARKE IT UP     YEA    ABOUT 1500 TO 3000  ON CARS HARDER TO MOVE 1500  ON CARS PEOPLE LIKE 3000       HAVE FUN WITH IT===DO NOT LET THEM STRESS YOU OUT=== IT IS A GAME TO THEM   AND IT WILL MAKE YOU  HAPPY TO KNOW YOU HAD THE 4 ACES  AND THEY HAD THE FULL HOUSE   P.S. SOME DEALERS ARE HONEST AND WILL TELL YOU THE HARD MONEY ON THE CAR AND ALSO TELL YOU THE HARD MONEY ON YOUR CAR  IF THEY DO THAT YOU WILL STILL END UP GIVEING THEM BUCKS  ABOUT 450 FOR THE OVER HEAD AND OR 300 FOR SALES PERSON  AND IF THEY TELL YOU 15 CENTS PER MILE THATS WHAT THE BOOK DOES NOT WHAT THEY DO WHEN THEY BUY IT    ITS 25 PER MILE    BUT HAVE FUN WITH IT, IT WILL DRIVE THEM CRAZY      JFB

  11. play hard to get... with todays economy you may find that the dealership will bend over backwards for the sale.

  12. At a car dealership, everything is negotiable, especially today, with the economy dropping off.
