If your hair tends to have a red tone to it the ash will neutalize that.  If you don't mind a little yellowish color then get the natural.  The ash will make it a little more platinum grey type color..

If your hair has a lot of red in it, and you want it to be less red (or orangey), use an ash color.

If your hair has no visible red and no undertones, choose a natural color.

If your hair is matte and you want it more vibrant/reddish, choose a golden blonde.
