When buying tickets, what does reserved seating mean?

I wanted to buy some tickets for something and i have found a good website. There are two ticket options; first 10 rows or reserved seating. What does reserved seating mean?

It means they hold that seat especially for the person that wants it.

It means that you can reserve a seat for that concert or play

meaning that they are set apart for people that reserve them, and other people that want those can't get them, becasue you already saved them for you
