Do they disconnect the cable at the pole or outside at the house? And regardless of which way they do it, what is the way to hook it back up? I will post pics of how it looks, but for now what do you think? No dumb remarks like pay your bill lol.

  1. where the cable comes in in to the box on the house there is a little insert in the end of the cable right at the splliter.  You have to take off the splitter that the cable company put on and just put on your own 3 way spitter. you can buy one at the 1$ tree. they may shut off your digital cable but basic cable is always on. So even if they are going to shut you off call them and tell them that you'll pay in about 2 to 3 weeks.

  2. I know I should not be saying this, but years ago I had Cable.

I had it for about two years, then I also got Directv. After a while I decided to get rid of cable and just keep Directv.

The only thing was I also had a hot box to get the Fights Pay Per View .. So my friends went out and reconnected back up so we could continue watching the fights every week end.  To make a long story short. I went on vacation this one year and when I came back .The cable company cut the lines.Mind you I had illegal cable for about two more years before they cut it.

So once I got home from vacation and had no cable. The guys came over again and reconnected me up again. I had it another two and a half years ,till one day they came out again and cut it about 9 feet from the pole. But I have to admit I was really scared the  the whole time I had it ,thinking I was some day going to get a knock on the door and be arrested But over all I had illegal cable for over 4 years +. But you are on your own with this one. Good luck.

  3. Since coming onto your property would be considered trespassing, they disconnect from the pole.  The installation was invited, the disconnect is not.

FIRST, the cable box would be turned off electronically.

IF you were to reconnect yourself at the pole, you would be arrested for trespassing, theft of services and that is the obvious violation.
