When can I expect the first tooth?

My baby girl is 4 months and 1 week old, she has been drooling and teething for about a month now, now if you move up her top lip you can see 6 little bulges three on each side of her top jaw, and I have no idea about her bottom jaw because she wont let me check it, these little teeth trying to come in on her top, they have not yet poked through, and I was wondering at this stage when can I expect them to come through? days, weeks, months from now? thanks :)

Mine started teething at 2 1/2 months and got his bottom 2 teeth at 4 1/2 months.  He's 6 months now and teething again.

My oldest little girl drooled like crazy and had those little white bulges beginning at 2 months, but didn't get any teeth until she was 7 months old.  On the other hand my 4th child just got her first tooth and she's 6 months.  She hardly drooled at all!  Both of my boys were 9 months. The point? You really never know.  Every child is different-even if they are from the same parents.  Most babies get their bottom teeth first.

My oldest got his first 2 teeth at 6 months old. Second 2 at 9 months & then 4 more at 12 months.

My youngest got his first 2 teeth at 8 months (6 months corrected age--8 weeks premature) then within another week or so 4 more popped through.

All 4 of mine got their first teeth at 6 months. My friend has a 9 m/o who just got her first one. If you see the teeth under there, it probably won't be much longer. :)

Well my daughter started teethin at 3months,but she didnt get her 1st tooth til 6months...&& wid that 1 came another wid it...i guess thats wat took so long!

it all depends on your baby, my 3 kids all got them at different times.  however my last son got his first at 3 1/2 months. so you may see one at any time.  and usually its is a front tooth top or bottom.  good luck
