My ets date was July 13th, on my LES it has START HELD PAY-STATUS 080701. Its showing a STATUS DET in the deductions column for basically the whole check minus taxes. So on the first its showing I'll get 0. I know they hold your last check for 10 days to check if you have debts but usually does it take this long?

  1. sorry about not answering your question my friend.

--Shock and Awe you are not available for contact via e-mail or IM.  That being said, is there any other way I could speak to you regarding the military, specifically the Army?  I will be enlisting in a year and half if all goes accordingly.  I have several questions for you in regards to my options and preparation.  I've began training this summer already but based off your background I'm sure you have some knowledge you cant impart on me to help me prepare physically and mentally.

  2. wow, you need to contact your post finance and/or transistion point. It will easily answered once they know your facts. I am suprised you didn't find this out before you left the service.

  3. I just retired yesterday and my LES was the same thing saying status det and no pay due, however my pay was deposited today on the first.  With retirees and those ETS'g they haved to make sure you have no outstanding debts that they can pull from your final pay. With the case of an ETS it can take up to 4 weeks as they can't just go and pull your pay like those of us who retired.  They can still yank our pay so it's less time.  You should have got this info at your seperation briefing but there was so much info going in and out that I don't recall hearing it either.

  4. I got my last check before I left the base after clearing through all the places I had equipment checked out. Maybe they have changed policy.
