When can I start exercising?

I'm 10 days postpartum and I had a C-section. I'm not feeling 100% yet, but I would like to start going for short walks. Would that be okay this early? Also, around when will the doc release me for regular exercise?

  1. Walks would be a good idea as long as you feel up to it. You need ot listen to your body and don't over do it.


  2. Everyone is different and everyone heals differently. You should either wait until your post-delivery appt with your OB or just call him to ask. He or she will probably tell you to wait until you have had your appt.

  3. I think short walks are great, but you should ask the doctors about regular exercise.
