When can I walk my puppy ?

I just got my 4 month old puppy a couple of days ago. I took him to the vet and he got his last shots (bordatello, rabies and one more). Anyway..I was wondering when it is safe for him to go outside and take walks?

Also, I brought Frontline for flea prevention and it says you can use it 8 weeks or later. Did any of your puppies have adverse reactions to it?

Short walks are probably okay. But your puppy will be sore and tired for a few days. After that, he should be back to normal. And no, to your other question, none of my puppy's ever had any reactions to Frontline or Advantage. Just make sure you go by the weight chart they provide.

Go ahead and take your puppy on a walk, just be sure you have a strong leash (they can chew through them) and a collar.

Take small walks at first until your puppy gets bigger.

We use frontline on our dogs and they haven't had any problems, even when my one dog was just a pup, so I think you would be fine with the frontline.

You can walk him safely as soon as he's had all of his shots! Also, I have heard of puppies not doing well with flea meds but it's not ver common. Oh and just a little tid bit, I would recomend Revolution next time you need to buy flea meds because it covered fleas, ticks and heart worm. Enjoy your puppy!

hes pretty much ready to go now ,but to be on the safe side give him 10 to 14 days to make the antibodies,i would let him have booster shots at 18 months to 2 years,but not yearly shots as vets recommend because there is little evidence they are beneficial and vaccinations are an enormus strains on the immune system.

Don,t make the walks mamoth treks till hes a bit older.

Can,t really see why you need flea prevention or treatment if he has no fleas and isn't in contact with flea ridden animals.,but it,s probably fine to use.
