I have a six week old and I just started my period. My 6 week checkup is this friday. I have pads I just hate to wear them. They feel like diapers.

  1. 6 weeks

  2. if you are sure it's your period and you feel comfortable using a tampon go ahead, but it may be uncomfortable.  Are you sure it's not just your lochia?

consider cloth pads, they are much nicer than disposables.

I disagree with the poster who said your doctor has to check you, that is not true unless you have a medical concern you want looked at.  If you feel find, you are fine.

  3. Not too be gross but i wouldn't even try using a tampon without talking too your doctor first.. make sure your healed down there

  4. I would wait until after your 6 week appointment just to be sure everything's alright. It sucks, but better to be safe.

  5. After your 6 wk checkup you can start wearing them but if you don't stop your period before the checkup then you may have to go back again because they can't do the pap-smear and everything while you are bleeding.

  6. just wait for your checkup. the doctor needs to make sure you are healed properly before you start inserting "things" into the v****a.
