  1. 14 and 9months. Write up a resume and take it to places like mcdonalds, target or woolworths - i mention these cause there more likely to give someone of your age a job, and there always needing staff. Even if you dont get something straight away, they'll keep your number on tab and no doubt you'll get a call in the future. Good luck!

  2. Im in WA so maybe the law is slightly different here but if you are looking for retail or fast food work the age limit is 14 and 6 months.

    If you are not quite that you can possibly get babysitting work at your age or dog walking paper delivery and so on

    good ;luck

  3. it's 14 years 9 months in QLD, should be something similar in Vic.

  4. I beleive it is 14 and 9 months. Easiest way to find out. Go to Maccas and ask what is the youngest age they employ

  5. There is a bit to it - but I have found the source for you:::

    The minimum legal age for working will be 14. 13 year olds will only be able to do work which is specified in local authority bye-laws;

    if you are under 15, you may not work for more than 5 hours on a Saturday or on any day during the school holidays (and no more than 2 hours on Sundays);

    if you are 15 or over, you may not work for more than 8 hours on a Saturday or on any day during the school holidays (the 2 hour limit for Sundays still applies);

    young people will have to have a two week break from work during a period in the year when they are not required to attend school;

    there will be a statutory rest break of one hour for young people who work for 4 hours or more;

    young people who are paid to take part in sport or work as a model will be covered by the special licensing provisions which currently cover young people in entertainment

    also read about it here http://www.youthcentral.vic.gov.au/Jobs+...

    Alot of great info on these sites too - how to apply for a job, your rights etc.

    Good Luck
