When can i breed my zebra danios? and how do i tell if they're female or male?

i've had my zebra danios for almost a 1 and a half. i have three and ive been wanting to see if and when could i breed them. and what to do. one of the danios is a bit bigger. how can i tell them apart if they're female or male? ( i've heard that the females a bigger while the males are a little smaller.) i've got five other fish in the tank too, could that be a problem if they lay eggs?

  1. You're right, females are slightly bigger, and males are slimmer with more coloration.

  2. Females tend to be ALOT rounder than males.

    If you want to breed them and keep any eggs/babies you'll have to have a separate tank for them with lots of spawning mops.
