  1. Be safe, and don't change it for six months. It will hurt a lot because it hasn't healed yet, it might get infected, or even close up.

  2. My friend recently got here belly pierced and was told to wait 8 weeks before changing it but she changed it after 6 weeks and it was just fine. Hope that helps!

  3. it depends on how well you take care of it.

i've heard of people changing it after only a few days/weeks with no problem. ive heard of people changing in after only a few days/weeks and ending up getting an awful infection because it wasn't ready, not being able to put jewelry back in b/c the hole closed, and having rejection, migration  and scarring occur because they changed it too soon.

i got mine done over a month ago and alot of people say it's okay after waiting 6 weeks. if this is the case, i'd be okay to change it right now. but theres NO way i'm gonna take that chance. i've seen people with belly ring infections/scars and it's GROSS. absolutely disgusting. and I adore my piercing and i would never want to lose it to rejection or infection.

my piercer told me that I could come see him after 4 months and have it changed if I took good care of it (which i do) but maybe if I'm lucky I can have it changed in 3 months instead. it's all up to my piercer. never change it by yourself unless you waited how long your piercer told you to, and you had no problems w/ infection or anything. if youre wanting to change it early, check with your piercer first!! it would be devastating to lose your piercing and have to get it redone (which i heard is pretty painful)

your best bet is to play it on the safe side and wait it out. 6 months is a little bit of a stretch, and if you take care of it you should be able to change it before then. just know that it wont be FULLY healed for about a year, so you shouldn't go changing the ring every single day after you get the go-ahead from your piercer. a piercing can look and feel healed on the outside before it is actually healed on the inside.

goodluck and hope i helped =]

  4. Wait till swelling and redness goes down and sorness goes down  and if it is better by two week you shuould be righte BUT only GO with  the small light rings first! :)

  5. 6 months....thats crazy ive never heard anyone give that long its usually 6 weeks. i had mine for 2 weeks and changed it and it was fine but im not susceptible to infection at all where some other people are. id wait until its been 6 weeks then change it

  6. Do NOT remove or change it for the six months!  Messing with it can delay the healing, and if you put in a new new piece of jewelry with the wrong metals, you can cause a serious reaction.  Cooler weather is coming.  You can keep it covered if you hate it, but don't mess with it.

The only possibility is that you can go back to the piercer and ask if he/she will replace it with another choice.  At least them you'll be getting professional advice.

  7. You can change it once it isnt red anymore. Make sure that you are cleaning it in the shower and when you put a new ring in make sure you disenfect it first.

  8. girl you better listen........... i got mine done and took it out too soon cause i didnt like mine either and that was the worst pain i ever had trying to get it back in PLEASE DONT TAKE IT OUT........... unless you want to cry............... it took mine a year to heal

  9. I think it varies, normally they tell you that you cannot take it out less than 6-8 weeks of having it in. It might be best to leave it in for 6 months, but if your gonna just change the ring then wait 6-8 weeks.
