  1. Around 4 months old!

  2. ask your pediatrician first wether he/she thinks your son is ready for the baby cereal.

my son started having some in his bottle at the age of 3 months and now has it on a spoon from 4 months

  3. I am an older person, and raised my kids in the 70s.  I gave them cereal, thinned with formula, by the time they were 3 wks old.  Did not hurt them a bit and helped them sleep through the night.  Drs. now say no, but I know many young mothers who have done this and there is no problem.  They baby gets hungry, and formula does not keep them satisfied very long.  I started with rice cereal, and very thin.  Some people I know put just a little cereal in the baby's bottle, so it is quite thin.  I just don't see the objection that doctors have to this, it was done for decades.

  4. your not supposed to give the baby cereal until they are at least 4 months their tummies can't handle anything more then formula before then.

  5. Recommended age is 6 months but sometimes pediatricians will recommend starting early at 4 months.  You still have a long time to go yet.
