  1. I must admit I am a bit of an advocate of organic products - if you want to frighten yourself, google some of the ingredients you find in these products and you won't go near them!! Visit a chemist or health food shop and invest in some of the organic stuff (I have some great stuff I can recommend but i am not sure if i am allowed to say the name here?? You can send me an email if you want any further info (as can anyone else who may be interested in certified organic products.)

  2. I honestly don't know why they say that because I listened to them and took her home and she got so dry that she started bleeding in certain spots so i put lotion on her and she was fine...I dont understand it.

  3. I've never heard that - I put lotion on both my little ones right after their first bath and from then on ...... I liked J & J for that 'baby' smell.

  4. I do not suggest johnson and johnson, it isn't very moisturizing.  My pediatrician actually said do not use it.  She recommended Aquaphor by Eucerine.  It is really moisturizing.  We use that after baths and also use Burt's Bees baby lotion.  It is okay now to use at four weeks (and sooner).

  5. I think it is safe for you to already use the baby lotion on her. Afterall, baby lotion is made for babies but I would use the type that's hypoallergenic (no perfumes) just to be safe so her skin doesn't get irritated. The J&J in the white bottle is the one I'm referring to.

    Congrats!

  6. I have 4 kids and they never told me anything like that, my youngest is 5 months old and i have been using it on him since we returned fro the hospital. Unless there is a skin condition i say go 4 it.

  7. I wont use Baby lotion as it dries out the skin  - for my lil one I used Olive Oil and the hospital advised another mumon my ward to use this after 2 days. Its great for their skin!

Never heard about hospitalstelling peeps not to use J&J

  8. I was taught in the hospital to put the lotion on my daughter after her baths, from the very beginning.

  9. I had to use lotion on my baby very soon- as she had very dry, sensitive skin.  Although the fragrance lotions smell great, they could irritate your baby's skin.  I used Eucerin in the beginning and that seemed to help her out.  But, you don't need any lotion on a baby, unless you are noticing areas that need it.
