When can rabbits start having babies?

I have three rabbits. Mum dad and son. The mum and dad are 1 year old and had the son (who is one of six) is two months old. Anyway, my question is do rabbits have to be a certain age, or at a certain time in their life, like humans before they can have babies? also do they have periods? I have never noticed this in my female.

This sounds like a really stupid question

But I'm just curious lol

  1. When a rabbit is about 3 months old it is possible but not good for a male rabbit to breed any females including his sisters if they are kept together.  All rabbits must have their own place to live so they don't breed indiscriminately.  Female rabbits (Does) go into a heat cycle every three days and males can breed them any time.  Does don't have a period like humans. Please don't breed your pets there are many breeders out there with information on what and how to breed.

  2. Rabbits usually start to mate at 6 months old!

you could soon have quite a few bunnies on ur hands!

  3. Whenever =) x

  4. rabbits don't have periods. they usually have to be 6 months old at least to breed. if they r younger something bad could happen. don't try it.
