They can trade from this point on to days after the All-Star break (they call it a trade deadline)

The trade deadline though, is about some days after the All-star break. That's when the trading stops until the playoffs end. But you can still sign FAs anytime of the year, with the exception of the trade deadline up to the playoffs.
