I mean we all know what the issues are!

What I am not sure is weather the people would behave any differently if they woke up one day to discover that they live in a not neccesarily democratic governmnet nation!

I think it would not change a think that people do, in their everydays lifes!

I seriously can not see anyone get up and go to protest and do boring things as such!

Or the other scenario, if all steps of chage away from a democratic goverment are taken slowly and silently, apart from the afected people, who wouild want to do anything about it!

Would diferent stratas of afected people ever get together!

(In real life I have not seen any such things ever!)

  1. Sorry that you slept through US Government.

The United States of America was set up as a REPUBLIC, not a democracy.

In a republic the people select Representatives to listen to all the problems of the nation and work on rectifying them.

In a democracy everyone votes on all the issues presented for changes. One man - One vote. Only problem is I don't have time to take off from my job and run to Washington every time they want to change something or add something to the nation.

I have representatives that listen to the bills and vote how he has been recommended by us the constituents. That is how a Republic works.

So you can stop pretending you are in a democracy anytime you so desire.

  4. Good question! I agree with your statements and the media is to blame for most of it. We are 95% entertained and 5% informed since the early 80's. They are practically raising our kids.

  5. When our people learn to spell . How do you " change a think " ?

  6. It's not that we aren't democracy, the problem is we're a democracy of mostly stupid people.
