Question:

When can you apply for the FAFSA over again?

I probably shouldn't have applied this year, because I was in debt with my school. But that is getting worked on as we speak. I know that if you delinquent in your payments on loans you already have, it makes it a lot harder for you to be eligible for more financial aid. Since my situation has changed, I was hoping now I would be eligible for more financial aid. How soon can you re-apply?

  1. Hi,

I used "Credit Solution" to settle my debt and avoid bankruptcy. They managed to reduce my debt up to 58%.It's legitimate.I came across this company on NBC News Special Edition.Check it out here:

  2. My colleague Found-1 is exactly correct.

The information that you submit on a FAFSA form is intended to represent a "snapshot in time" - an accurate report of your and your family's financial circumstances as of the date the application was submitted.

For that reason, you are not permitted to make "updates" to your FAFSA submission unless you made an error. You can make changes to "household size", "number in college" and "dependency status", but you may not make changes to things like "income" or "assets". I think it is extremely unlikely that you will be permitted to update "changed circumstances", like clearing up loan delinquencies.

Your next opportunity to present the Department of Education with a "snapshot" of your financial circumstances will come on next year's FAFSA submission.

    Good luck to you!

  3. You can reapply after you do your taxes for this year. Around Feb/March of 2009.
