When can you call someone as your "friend"?

i am having troubles determining who my friends are.i am the like the "always kidding-around guy" at school,you see.so i always kid around at school and some people kinda "adore" me for that,i think.but i don't know who amongst those people can i consider as my friends?when there are school activities that require to list down all my friends,i have troubles listing down.nobody ever told me i was their "friend"...how do i know?

i guess i'm just friendless..

How old are you?  Well if you are in the ups and downs of your life then you can trace who is the real one.  Friends for me could be trace if you have a big problem that needed someone to lean on and talk to.  That somebody will never get tired of listening while you are on the deep depression. They are also friends that you feel comfortable and the real one is the one that likes you who you are and accepted you for what you are.

well those people could be acquaintances....and friends are people you hang out with esp. after school...
