When can you say that you're being verbally abused?

Is saying bad words or cursing a form of verbal abuse?

Basically when someone demeans another repetitively,

When someone purposely says means stuff to you to belittle their actions.

Verbal abuse is when confronted with a question by a person this person screams yells cusses and tell the person they are no good.

nice wording Examples:

Your cooking is terrible

Your gettn_____fat

Your stupid

You are crazy

Nobody could love you

even though these are nicer versions you can spice them up and yes they are verbal abuse

Bad words and cursing are a form of verbal abuse if they are directed at you and made to hurt you. Even when arguing it is possible for people to be mature about things and not hurt or put down the people they are suppose to love. If whatever is being said is making you feel bad or hurt it is abuse.

If someone is directly talking to you, and degrading you by calling you ugly, hurtful words that make you feel really bad about yourself and lower your self-worth, and they do this a lot, or they do this in front of other people; or if someone curses directly at you, by calling you ugly names, in the same scenario as mentioned above, then these things ARE CONSIDERED VERBAL ABUSE!!!

Remember, the only difference in verbal abuse and physical abuse is that the scars from verbal abuse are not visible on the outer skin like the ones from the physical abuse!!!

NO PERSON SHOULD STAY IN AN ABUSIVE SITUATION OR ALLOW THEIR CHILDREN TO BE VICTIMS OF EITHER VERBAL OR PHYSICAL ABUSE!!!

In this day and age looking as someone funny is grounds for abuse. People need to grow some thicker skin!

yes. it threatens someone else verbally. it makes them uncomfortable, and can hurt emotionally

If someone is directly trying to ruin your self concept by saying degrading things whether they are true or not, then you are being verbally abused.  If someone is calling you names and trying to make you cry with their words they are abusing you.  Just dropping a f-bomb everyonce and a while isn't abuse, but making someone feel bad constantly is abuse.
