When canning carrots using a pressure can do just 4 pints at a time?

I am canning carrots using pressure cooker, the booklet says the max pints is 10. Can I just do like 4 or 5 jars, and if so do I adjust the time or pressure?

  1. Hopefully, you mean a pressure CANNER and not a pressure cooker, which isn't a canner at all. If so, the processing times according to the current USDA bulletins are based on the pH value of the ingredients, the jar size, and the altitude, but the number of jars is not a factor.
