  1. I'll give you all codes

    0 Informal term meaning "worldwide". Region 0 is not an official setting; discs that bear the region 0 symbol either have no flag set or have region 1–6 flags set.

    1 sold in Canada, United States; U.S. territories; Bermuda

    2 sold in Europe; Western Asia; Egypt, Japan, South Africa, Swaziland; British overseas territories, French overseas territories

    3 Southeast Asia; South Korea; Non-mainland China ( Hong Kong)

    4 Oceania; Central and South America; Caribbean; Mexico

    5 Africa, Central and South Asia, Belarus, Mongolia, North Korea, Russia, Ukraine

    6 Mainland China

  2. CD's aren't Region coded.  Any CD bought anywhere in the world will play on any CD player anywhere in the world.

    DVD's are Region coded, though.

  3. Without getting too complicated region 1 is for USA (& others) and region 2 is for UK (& others) but I think you mean DVD's because when I was in the States I came home with a load of CD's at a fraction of the price here in the UK & they played fine.

    I didn't buy any DVD's because of the Region code issue.

  4. something to do with where in the world you can play them, its something like america use region 1 cd players so there cd's match them, where we use region 2 so our cd's match them. thats why you cant buy dvd's and cd's from america and play them here.

  5. They're not ususally, that refers to DVDs, which are region coded by area - some home DVD players will only play discs with their local region code;
