the red wire will connect to the black wire of the light that you want operated by the photocell

the red wire in the USA is always the load wire the one you would hook to the black wire of the light fixture. the black on the photocell is the hot wire  for the photo cell and the white is the neutral for the photocell so your power comming in would hook to the black and white of the photocell color to color.
