When choosing a wooden bat (weight question)?

Im looking into buying a wooden bat or 2. But every where i look they only give length measurements...how do i know how heavy it is? im looking to buy a 34", 29ounce bat...but nothing on any of the bat websites or sites like d**k's tells me anything about the weight...any thoughts?

  1. just pick up a bat and if it feels heavy, pick up a lighter one

    or the other way around

    pick up a bat and if it feels to light, pick up a heavier one


  2. get either a 32/29 or 33/30 and shave it down one more so its 33/29

    its not that hard to shave off an ounce

  3. I don't think you are going to find a 34 29. Usually woodys come in a -3 drop ratio. So if you're looking to buy a 34in bat, it will probably be 31oz.

    From personal experience use a 33in. The 34s are just waay too huge. Just go to the end of the bat if you get a 33. (Besides those are 30ounces so that's only 1 ounce off your desired weight)
