When citing journal articles for a Works Cited page, would "33.4" mean volume 33, issue number four?

I am trying to make sure that my MLA styled bibliogrpahy is correct. Should I write 33.4 or vol 33 no 4? I found this article in a journal database and "33.4" was written after the title of the journal. Which form is acceptable?

I think both are acceptable if that is what is printed in the journal, you may want to go with the written version though if you have worries.
