Everyone sells the RCA composit stereo cables w/the component. Seems the optical would be better?

  1. optical is good through ur audio home theater system.if u run direct to tv, the tv might not have the ability like home theater system.

  2. The optical is to be used to connect multi-channel audio to an AV receiver NOT your TV.

Your TV's optical audio, is Audio OUT only.

  3. If you have a home theater system yes. If you don't you'll have to use analog sound with component (green, blue, red) or composite (yellow, white, red) video. Component is better.
